Missions

The Missions Task Force (MTF) is a committee of 5-7 people that oversees the annual Faith Promise budget, disburses Faith Promise funds (which are donations designated for the purpose of supporting missions), and stays in communication with the missionaries that we support.

The scope of the Missions Task Force is to the entire world, to all nations (ethnic groups), and to present and future generations (Matthew 24:14 and 28:19).

This committee is guided by the following Scriptures: Genesis 12:1-3, Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 9:41.

The missionaries that we support stay in communication with the MTF for prayer needs, reports of the work being accomplished, and celebrations.  The MTF builds meaningful connections with our partners which have often turned into rich relationships which span over many years.

Through the Faith Promise Fund, we financially support individual missionaries, missionary families, and Christian organizations. Your Faith Promise funds are used to currently support 21 entities including those in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Our partners participate in Bible Translation, Crisis ministries, Accounting, Technology, Publishing, Teaching, Training, Transportation, and reaching the unreached.  Our partners can change over time.

With your support, we at New Vida are expanding our impact for the Kingdom of God far beyond our local congregation. While not everyone is called to the mission field, everyone is called by the Great Commission. The MTF exists because we are all called by the Great Commission, which is why being a part of Faith Promise is important to us and your participation in Faith Promise is part of fulfilling that goal.
